We extend our wholehearted appreciation to offers from a large number of USAR teams, and we ask the teams to continue to monitor or stand-by.

We will inform you as soon as an additional decision is made on foreign USAR/medical teams. "

Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs have just informed us that the Prime Minister of Japan will very soon make an official announcement on the need and / or specific type of international assistance required.

The Government of Japan has requested teams making arrangements to respond and/or provide international assistance, to wait in their own countries, until such needs and requests are officially announced/requested by the Government of Japan.
